In Autumn of 2012, Columbus State -- along with all other public colleges in Ohio that haven't already done so -- will change from a quarter system to a semester system. This change involves much more than just altering the calendar of classes. We will need to look at how our curriculum should be spread over the available time and how we can use this opportunity to improve our programs.
The purpose of this blog is to be sure that Basic English instructors and those interested in the program have the opportunity to stay informed and to give comments, feedback, opinions, etc. on the thought process as we move forward. Your participation is vital to a successful transition to semesters and to an even better Basic English program. I look forward to working with you on this exciting project over the next year and a half.
